Horsham Neighbourhood Watch

Areas Covered
Each of the areas shown has an area co-ordinator assigned, though at any one time there may be one or more areas without a specific co-ordinator; in this case the neighbouring co-ordinator will often help on a temporary basis. The area co-ordinator for the village of Warnham has set up seventeen Neighbourhood Watch schemes in Warnham. This has taken a long time and a lot of hard work.

Slinfold
The Slinfold Neighbourhood Watch Scheme has been running in Slinfold for fifteen years. The whole village is now covered by NHW. At Christmas time a social event is held in the village hall complete with a Christmas draw. Any profit made goes back to local organisations to assist with thier security. In one area of the village there is a Close occupied mainly by senior citizens and NHW provided security lights for the residents. Security lighting has also been fitted to the village school and the village hall. NHW has organised a self defence class for ladies every year and a professional trainer from Gatwick Airport police comes along to give instruction. At one point the cricket club suffered 8 break ins during a 2 year period, but following advice and financial assistance no furthur incidences have occured. In conjunction with NHW and the Parish Council a mini bus is soon to be made available to the youngsters in the village for their use once a week.
